This class builds forward from completed job analyses and provides information, techniques and tools to prepare classification recommendations. Specific topics include: developing a position description, creating class specifications, position allocation including reclassifications, conducting a job audit, and class exercises to put it all together.
Special note: This class does not cover job analysis nor does it include compensation.
Prerequisite: Completion of formal training in job analysis or experience conducting job analyses with a reasonable sized sample of incumbents.
