Every year, the CCCApply and eTranscript California steering committees meet to connect with colleagues at other institutions and discuss the issues unique to the online application to the California Community Colleges (CCCApply) and electronic transcript exchange across California, including CSU, UC, and private universities.

2016 CCCApply Workshop
Day 1: March 22 - 9:00AM – 4:00PM

For California Community Colleges Only
This year's CCCApply Workshop will focus on helping you get the most out of your OpenCCCApply implementation. The break-out sessions will feature tips, tricks, and best practices from early adopters, and advanced training for new and experienced OpenCCCpply users. We'll also explore the statewide technology initiatives, including the Online Education Initiative, Education Planning Initiative, Common Assessment Initiative and the Student Services Portal.

CCCApply workshop sessions (For complete session descriptions, please visit the CCCApply project website):

Session: Introduction to the International Application
Audience: Admissions & Records staff and administrators, IT staff and other stakeholders interested in getting started with the new application.

Session: BOG Fee Waiver Application: Demo & Implementation Overview
Audience: This session is primarily geared toward Financial Aid and IT staff, but appropriate for anyone interested in the online BOG Fee Waiver application.

Session: Advanced Report Center Training
Audience: By request, this session is geared toward experienced users of the CCC Report Center (but everyone is welcome!). Note: A computer lab will be available after the session for attendees that want to explore some of the tips and tricks learned during the session.

Session: IT Tips & Tricks: Leveraging CCCApply with Email Rules & Supplemental Questions
Audience: By request, this session is geared for IT staff and experienced users of the CCCApply Administrator (but everyone is welcome!). Some knowledge of XML programming will be beneficial, but not required.

COMPUTER LAB
A monitored computer lab will be available for users to get help using the Report Center, using the Administrator, and exploring the International application throughout the day. Space is limited, so we’ll have to get creative on sharing the computers. Assistance is provided by the OpenCCC support staff from 11:15AM – 3:30PM.

Lunch-time Presentation: All Attendees
Using the New CCC College Support Site: CCCTechnology.info
Learn to use the new CCC College Support Site – CCCTechnology.info – during a special lunchtime presentation hosted by the OpenCCC Support team. We’ll demonstrate how to follow posts and category pages, allowing you to decide how much information you want to receive via email notifications. We’ll also show you how to submit a support request, alert the community to an issue, and interact with your colleagues and other users of OpenCCCApply. 

Session: CCCApply Residency Algorithm 101: Presentation & Discussion Panel
Audience: Geared toward all users of the CCCApply standard application but especially beneficial to new user adopters coming from a homegrown application to CCCApply.

Session: CCCApply 2016 Annual Update
Audience: All CCCApply users, especially A&R, IT, and Research staff who rely on OpenCCCApply submitted application data for admissions, financial aid, MIS reporting and other business operations that rely on the data download file from incoming students.

Session: Demonstration of the New Student Services Portal with Q&A
Audience: This session will appeal to all staff and administration involved in Student Services across the California Community Colleges.

Session: Statewide Technology Initiatives Update: The Education Planning Initiative, with an Introduction to Starfish, Hobsons, Degree Audit, and Ed Planner
Audience: This presentation is geared toward A&R, IT and Student Services directors and other stakeholders interested in the progress and/or adoption of the statewide Education Planning Initiative and related pilot programs.

2016 California Electronic Transcript Workshop

Day 2: March 23 - 9:00AM – 4:00PM

For CCC, CSU, UC, and Private Universities
This day will be packed with information and opportunities! The California Transcript Standard Data Format now enables institutions more choices in transcript exchange. Find out more about the latest trends, and learn how institutions are using multiple transcript exchange methods to achieve greater success and streamline their business processes.  Meet with vendors and colleagues at other institutions, and get your questions answered!

Session Name: Working with e-Verify for Transfer Students
At a Glance: How to use the e-Verify tool and Discussion
Audience: Community College and CSU staff members from schools that are involved in the technical and/or business process of handling and processing Transfer Degrees.

Session Name: Associate Degree for Transfer Processing and Redirection
At a Glance: Discussion on Transfer Degrees from both the CCC and CSU prospective
Audience: Community College and CSU staff members from schools that are involved in the technical and/or business process of handling and processing Transfer Degrees.

Session Name: High School Transcripts with California College Guidance Initiative (CCGI)
At a Glance: Discussion on Automating High School Transcripts
Audience: Community College and CSU staff members that either process or manage high school transcripts, electronically, PDF or paper.

Session Name: General Education Certification – CSU Perspective
At a Glance: Panel Discussion on including General Education Certifications with eTranscripts
Audience: CSU Admissions and Records staff members and technical staff.

Session Name: General Education Certification – CCC Perspective
At a Glance: Working session including a presentation on the steps required to implement each option for General Education Certifications within eTranscriptCA.
Audience: Community College Admissions and Records staff members and technical staff.

Session Name: CCC Education Planning Initiative and Portal
At a Glance: Updates on state initiatives for Educational Planners and Student Portal
Audience: Community College student services staff and information technology staff interested in technology initiatives.

Session Name: Getting Started Trading Transcripts
At a Glance: Panel Discussion for New Users
Audience: College implementation team members charged with exploring the “how-to” aspects of managing electronic transcript exchange.

Session Name: ASSIST Next Generation 
At a Glance: Overview of the new ASSIST product
Audience: College and University staff member assisting students with articulation and transfer.

Session Name: CCC Bachelor's Degrees: 4-Year Degrees at 2-Year Colleges
