With quantitative easing almost a year behind us and the Fed on track to start raising interest rates, there is a sense of uncertainty looming over capital markets. The Fed’s actions will impact the price of almost all assets, from bonds to equities to commodities, and with the markets at an inflection point, there will be no shortage of issues to discuss at this year’s Forecast Dinner.

Join us on January 21st, 2016 as our panel of financial experts weigh in on what this means for the developed, emerging, and local markets. This year's panel will be moderated by Rudyard Griffith, a former columnist for the National Post and Toronto Star, a TV anchor on CTV News and BNN, a regular guest on "The Exchange with Amanda Lang", and moderator of the Munk and Federal Election Debates. Our esteemed panel will include:

  • Jeffrey Goldenberg, Goldman Sachs Partner and Director of Portfolio Strategy for the Private Wealth Group
  • Ed Devlin, PIMCO Managing Director and Head of Canadian Portfolio Management.
  • Todd Buchholz, Former White House Director of Economic Policy (under Bush administration), former Managing Director of the $15B Tiger hedge fund, and former Harvard Economics teacher.

We are also very excited to welcome back comedian and host of CBC's "The Debaters", Steve Patterson, who has hosted past Forecast Dinners and will be our Master of Ceremonies for the evening.

This year’s Forecast Dinner will be a world-class evening full of insightful discussion and entertainment.  We look forward to welcoming you and sparking debate on the future of financial markets.
