Inspire a new generation of plant enthusiasts!

The horticultural educators here at Mass Hort are excited to share with your children the techniques and skills required to propagate plants from cuttings.

Through a series of hands-on activities, children will learn to take cuttings, prepare those cuttings to create new roots and then transplant them as they get larger.

Children will be sent home with two already rooted cuttings with instructions for their cultivation and care. They will also be encouraged to enter their young plants in the Amateur Horticulture competition at the 2016 Boston Flower and Garden Show! All materials, including two new plants to take home, are provided.

Workshop is open to youth aged 8-16

Registration fee includes one admission to Festival of Trees

Children under 12 require an adult chaperone
