Market Street Village Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Join us for this pivotal moment for Market Street, the grand opening of Market Street Village consisting of 76 brand new luxury affordable apartments! For the Grand Opening, we are asking all attendees to please bring a canned good or non-perishable food item as we will be collecting for the Food Pantry at Reed’s Refuge. Reed’s Refuge is a local community center for inner city youth providing a safe haven for children. Reed’s Refuge offers after school programs in the areas of music and dance, additionally provides homework and study assistance to children as well as provides snacks and dinner for all of the children it serves.
Over the Summer Months, Reeds Refuge continues to offer a safe haven from the morning to evening hours, provides breakfast, lunch and dinner. In addition to music and arts programming, Reed’s Refuge also offers an anti-bullying program as well as a Safe City anti-violence program. All of the children served at Reed’s Refuge participate in the Free and Reduced Meal Programs at their respective schools. Your contribution of food items will help provide meals for these children and offset costs for Reed’s Refuge.
