Topic: GDOT TMC Redesign – A look Before, During, and After

Description: During the next few years, there will be increased demand on the Georgia Navigator Transportation Management Center (TMC) control room. The increased demands include the State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA) having a presence to operate the growing managed lanes network; expansion of RTOP to serve additional corridors; as well as other uses. The purpose of the GDOT TMC Redesign project was to reconfigure the TMC to accommodate new functions, systems and staff; to provide increased efficiency in terms of operations; and to provide synergy among multi-agency stakeholders in addressing incident, emergency and special event management.
