WEConnect Mentors

The City of New York is looking for experienced business owners to serve as WEConnect Mentors, providing digital and in-person advising to the WE NYC community of women entrepreneurs. WEConnect Mentors will be a diverse group of 15 entrepreneurs from a variety of industries, backgrounds, and business stages who have achieved success in a particular area, such as building a brand, utilizing technology or negotiating contracts.

Each WEConnect Mentor will need to commit to the following:

  • Two hours of in-person advising per quarter
  • Three blog posts a year about your business background, challenges, and expertise for use and distribution on the WE NYC website and social media channels
  • Use of your photo for the WE NYC website
  • One hour of online chatting per quarter on the WE NYC website with the WE NYC community of women entrepreneurs
  • Attend a kick-off meeting


WE NYC will offer WEConnect Mentors the following perks:

  • Name and business featured on WE NYC website
  • Opportunities for speaking engagements and panel participation at WEConnect Events
  • Professional photo in your place of business for promotional purposes
  • Invitation to annual networking event for WEConnect Mentors
  • One-time $1,000 honorarium

Selection Process

To be considered as a WEConnect Mentor, please complete the application materials no later than Monday, December 4, 2015.

Submissions will be reviewed by a selection committee, and the 15 WEConnect Mentors for 2016 will be announced by the end of December.

Services will become available to the WE NYC community of women entrepreneurs in January 2016.
