Topic:  “MAP: Making Action Possible for Southern Arizona”

Southern Arizona residents will have unprecedented access to continually updated, local comprehensive economic and lifestyle data through a new project called the MAP Dashboard. This new service will allow communities to look at trends and compare this information to similar towns. 

If you are involved in business, government, non-profits or organizations needing data, the MAP Dashboard offers free access to 36 different areas of measurement in education, health and social well-being, infrastructure, quality of place, workforce and general demographics for the 25 largest southern Arizona communities. The MAP Dashboard was created to measurably improve southern Arizona through data-driven collective civic action and education and mirrors more than 125 similar projects across the country. The website aggregates the information in a colorful graphic format allowing visitors to look at communities, counties, western states and national data for current comparison as well as evaluating trends over time.

MAP – Making Action Possible for Southern Arizona, and referred to as the MAP Dashboard, is a partnership with the University of Arizona Eller College, the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona and the Southern Arizona Leadership Council. UA’s Eller Economic and Business Research Center built the MAP Dashboard and oversees keeping the information up to date.
