Monika moved from Norway to Dallas on a track scholarship with Southern Methodist University. During her sophomore year she was kidnapped at gunpoint and brutally raped by three men. After assisting with the convictions of her assailants, Monika turned tragedy into healing. She founded the Monika Korra Foundation with a mission to Kill the Silence surrounding rape and abuse and make it possible for survivors to seek the help needed for complete healing. Monika’s book of the same name “Kill the Silence” was recently released.
