Partnering with you to save and enhance lives, Sierra Donor Services and Donor Network West presents:

Nationally Renowned Grief Recovery Experts

Dr. Alan Wolfelt, Founder & Director of The Center for Loss and Life Transition

and

Benjamin Allen, Author and Grief Counselor

Dr. Wolfelt, founder and director of the Center of Loss and Life Transition, will share his insights on how to compassionately care for those in grief.  He will be joined by Benjamin Allen of Lake Tahoe, Nevada who will detail his powerful personal journey through grief following the death of his wife and two children, and his work in the ensuing decades with grieving individuals and groups.

The day’s keynote presenter, Dr. Wolfelt is a bereavement expert, author, speaker and educator who regularly contributes his expertise to journals, television shows, newspapers, and magazines. In his informative seminar, entitled: Death, Grief and Mourning: Essential Caregiving Principles and Practices, Dr. Wolfelt will help members of our caregiving community enhance their knowledge and skills related to guiding people through their time of loss, grief and transition. Dr. Wolfelt will explore a multitude of topics and useful tools for grief care and emphasize his model of “companioning” vs “treating” the mourner. Participants will go away with a wealth of knowledge as they explore the transformative nature of grief.
