Cal TASH 33rd Annual Conference and Meeting

Join us in Sacramento for the 33rd Cal TASH annual conference February 26 - 27, 2016. This two-day conference includes breakout sessions both days, a Town Hall meeting with CA legislators Friday morning, two keynote presentations, and the ever-popular Cal-TASH Bash Friday evening complete with food, music, and good conversation.

 KEYNOTE PRESENTERS

Stephen Hinkle: Stephen has been speaking around the country for over 13 years in the fields of autism, inclusive education, and disability policy. Stephen obtained his MA degree in special education with an emphasis in Disability Policy in 2011. Stephen spends his time training teachers and parents to help individuals with special needs succeed. He also works to help school systems, advocacy organizations, and others to adopt supportive practices to improve the success rate of individuals with special needs while simultaneously reducing the culture of poverty and loneliness that many individuals with special needs experience growing up.

Ann Halvorsen: Dr. Ann Halvorsen has worked in the field of education with a focus on individuals with disabilities for more than 4 decades. Her work as Director/Coordinator of a 25-year series of federal projects assisting California schools and districts to develop inclusive schooling has been instrumental in the movement of hundreds of students with severe disabilities from segregated schools and classrooms to integrated schools. Dr. Halvorsen is a Professor of Special Education at CSU East Bay, a former member of the Cal-TASH Board, and a past President of Cal-TASH.
