Guest Speaker: Dennis Bickers
Pastor and author, Dennis Bickers, served as a bivocational pastor for twenty years. He is currently the Southeast Area Resource Minister of ABC of Indiana and Kentucky, serving 81 churches with a wide variety of ministries, including those with bivocational pastors. Bickers works to help churches move through necessary change, so that churches can effectively share the Gospel, and grow the Kingdom of God in their communities. Dennis says, "I am excited about the challenges and opportunities that are before us. It is exciting to see how God is able to use each of our churches to touch their communities for the Lord Jesus Christ. The one thing that each of our churches has in common, whether large or small, is the rapid change occuring in our society and in our churches. Change is never easy, but without the ability to change, we will soon find ourselves trying to reach a society that no longer exists."  Dennis is the author of numerous books, including The Healthy Small Church: Diagnosis and Treatment for the Big Issues, The Art and Practice of Bivocational Ministry: A Pastor's Guide, and The Healthy Community: Moving Your Church Beyond Tunnel Vision.
