Vienna is waiting  for you!

Experience Vienna as only a local can show you- IAOMS' own Vice President-Elect, Dr. Gabriele Millesi will personally escort you through this exciting and memorable city. Your participation in this event will benefit oral and maxillofacial surgeons in need through education and training supported by the IAOMS Foundation.  Registration is limited, so register early!

   Wednesday, June 15th, 2015

   Your stay in Vienna will start at the four star hotel, König von Ungarn,  located  right in the heart    of the city. 

   Accomodations are for 4 nights and breakfast will be included.

 

   Thursday, June 16th, 2015

   We will start the morning with a walk where the along well know Ring Street, where the old  Viennese city        wall used to be, in the shade of the famous architect Theophil Hansen (1813 -1891). Our guide will give us    architectural and historical insights of this important period (3 hours). Lunch will be on your own.

   We will meet up for the afternoon for a medical tour followed by a dinner of typical Austrian food and              musical entertainment.  Dinner and beverages are included.

   Friday, June 17th, 2015- A Tour through old “Biedermeier” times

   Our walking tour will start with a visit to the “Figaro House”  where Mozart used to live and where he                composed his opera: The Marriage of Figaro.  We will then be under the guidance of an experienced insider     who will walk us through the old part of the city and break for lunch at Fieglmüller, a restaurant known for       its huge typical Viennese Schnitzel. We have planned to end our afternoon with a visit to the Freud                   Museum.  Lunch will be your own cost.

   The evening will start with a tour through one of the biggest underground wine cellars in Europe while            enjoying a glass of champagne. We will then dine in the garden restaurant of the Palais Coburg.  Dinner and    beverages included.

   Saturday, June 18th, 2015

   In the morning we start out on a tour together lead by a guide who will give us the inside look        on the topic 'Youth Style.' This was an artistic movement of the Fin de siècle in architecture,            paintings, furniture, fashion and Vienna is famous for it. Lunch will be at the traditional                  restaurant   Plachutta (wollzeile@plachutta.at), a place well known for its excellent dishes with        beef (this meal   will be included).

   Here our organized program together will come to an end. The rest of the afternoon is yours to      enjoy the sights of Vienna on your own.

   Individual Departure- Vienna will be sad to see you leave!
