Evening Prayer for the Commonwealth 

Virginia's Catholic bishops and the Virginia Catholic Conference invite legislators and other public officials, clergy, educators, social service practitioners, parishioners and others to join them at the mid-point of the 2016 General Assembly session at the historic Cathedral of the Sacred Heart to pray for the Commonwealth. Please join Bishop Francis X. DiLorenzo and Bishop Paul S. Loverde at 5 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016, for Vespers, a prayer of thanksgiving used by the Church for millenia to praise God and pray for the needs of the world. A complimentary wine and hors d'ouerves reception follows. Free shuttle service is available at the Virginia Capitol Visitors' entrance at 9th and Bank Sts. Parking available at parking garage, corner of North Laurel & West Main streets, adjacent to Altria Theatre.
