Best Tasting Water and Meter Madness Competitions

Is your water the best tasting? Put it to the challenge!

The South Sound Subsection announces it's Eighth Annual Water Taste Test.

All utilities and water purveyors in the South Sound area are encouraged to participate. The winning water in this competition will have the honor of competing for the title of "Best in the Northwest" at the 2016 PNWS-AWWA conference in Boise ID.

The competition will be held during the South Sound Subsection’s  2016 Best Tasting Water Competition.

Contestants must register no later then 4pm on Tuesday March 8, 2016 to be eligible to compete!

This South Sound water taste test contest is open to all utilities in the south sound counties that have no state or federal regulatory violations within the last year.  All members are encouraged to participate or merely attend to cheer on your favorites and partake in the festivities.

Judging will be based on three categories: scent, flavor, and aftertaste.  Each category will be scored on a 10-point scale from low (1) to high (10), the highest possible total score being 30 points.

*The South Sound Subsection of the PNWS-AWWA includes the Counties of Kitsap, Pierce, Mason, Grays Harbor, Thurston, Pacific (Except that portion lying South of the East/West line through the mouth of the Nema River excluding the Long Beach Peninsula.*
