 6th Annual Green Mountain Development Camp

For Girls Ages 5 - 18

July 30th to August 4th, 2016 at the University of Vermont

Green Mountain Development,in conjunction with the Vermont State Amatuer Hockey Association, is proud to announce our 5th annual development camp for girls Ages 5 - 18 held at the University of Vermont.

Our camp is designed for players who have aspirations of taking thier game to the next level. We provide a superior coaching staff and an intense structured camp format that focusses on the necessary fundamental skills -- Skating, Passing, Shooting, & Puck Control as well as Offensive and Defensive team concepts.

Our on-ice instructors are current and former Olympic, NCAA D-I, D-III & High School coaches. They are supported by our staff counselors who are current and recently graduated FEMALE NCAA players. Special guest coaches MAY include those from the Women's Olympic and professional men's ranks.

 

Age Groups & Registration Fee's

                       Group 1 -- Girls Entering Grades K to 4, $149.00                             Camp will run Sunday July 31st to Thusday August 4th for 1 Hour per day. Exact time is TBA.

Group 2 -- Girls Entering Grades 5 to 8, $799 Boarding / $599 Day

Group 3 -- Girls Entering Grades 9 to Post Grad, $799 Boarding / $599 Day   

Want a specific roommate? NO PROBLEM! Roommate requests can be made     from our online registration page. All rooms are double occupancy, (sorry no single, tripple, or quad rooms)

Campers must be entering grades K through PG in the 2016-2017 academic year

Camp Highlights

Group 1

-- 1 hour of On-Ice instruction per day ONLY, No Off-Ice Program

-- Individual skill stations

--Skating, Passing, Shooting, Puck Control/Protection

-- Small area competitive games

-- Approx. 6 to 1 player to coach ratio

-- Small groups of 6 to 8 players according to age & skill level

-- Goalies will receive specific goalie instruction

Group 2 & 3 

-- 3 hours of On-Ice instruction per day minimum

-- 2 Goalies, 6 Defensemen & 10 Forwards per team

-- 4 Teams per group maximum

-- Individual skill & team development focus: power skating, passing, shooting, puck control/protection, scoring, offensive & defensive systems, special teams play

-- 1 Power skating & Skills session, 1 team practice, 1 positional practice for Goalies, Defensemen and Forwards + Evening Game w/referees

-- Off-Ice program: Strength & Fitness Training, Individual Player & Team video sessions, Yoga, Nutrition Seminar, Mental/Sports Psychology Training, Leadership training, USA Hockey Student Coach Certification

-- Each student will recieve a 1-on-1 performance evaluation with thier coaches

                                  After Camp Tournament Team Opportunity                                               Stanstead College Girls Hockey Tournament August 5-7, 2016                 GMD will field 1 team at the U15 age level of 10 F's, 5 D and 2 G's

      Stanstead Coll. is located in Stanstead, Quebec approx 2 hours from Burlington

  • Registrations are accepted on a first come, first served basis -- space is limited at each position
  • THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. IF A PLAYER IS UNABLE TO ATTEND, A CREDIT WILL BE ISSUED AND MAY BE USED FOR A FUTURE GMD PROGRAM
  • Want a specific roommate? NO PROBLEM! All roommate requests may be made on our registration page. 
  • GMD reserves the right to place someone at a position other than what they signed up for to balance out team rosters
  • Registering more than one player? Please call 802-578-2214 for specific instructions
  • Full payment required to complete your registration (payment plans possible)
  • We accept your check, money order, certified bank check as well as credit / debit cards with the Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express logos. All credit / debit card payments will be processed via PayPal. You DO NOT NEED to have to have a PayPal account in order to pay online
  • All returned checks are subject to a $30 service charge
  • Our camp is recommended for the serious, motivated and dedicated player. GMD seeks players who want to improve their skill level, make connections with Prep school as well as NCAA coaches and are commited to working together within a team dynamic.
