5th Annual CDFI Credit Union Roundtable at GAC

The National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions, the leading advocate for credit unions serving low- and moderate-income consumers and underserved communities, invites you to the 5th annual CDFI Certified Credit Union Roundtable at this year's GAC.

The CDFI certified credit union industry is growing! With 265 CDFI certified credit unions and collective assets of more than $45 billion, CDFI credit unions provide services to more than 5.5 million primarily low-income consumers. These institutions aren't defined by asset size or FOM, but by their commitment to financial inclusion and community development.

Join us February 22 at the Federation's 5th Annual CDFI Roundtable and learn about new developments at the CDFI Fund, 2016 funding levels, and the value that CDFI certification provides to our industry, particularly around advocacy and community impact. Hear from industry leaders from the US Department of the Treasury, the CDFI Fund, NCUA and the Federation.

Keynote Speakers: Jessica Milano, Annie Donovan and William Myers

Jessica Milano is the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Small Business, Community Development, and Housing at the US Department of the Treasury. Ms. Milano manages a portfolio of policy issues including small business access to capital, affordable housing finance, and community and economic development. Her office oversees the Small Business Lending Fund (SBLF), the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI), and the Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund. Prior to joining Treasury, Ms. Milano served as Senior Advisor to the Administrator at the Small Business Administration (SBA).

CDFI Fund Director, Annie Donovan, has deep roots in community development and finance. She was most recently Chief Executive Officer of CoMetrics, a social enterprise that provides high quality, affordable business intelligence tools to small businesses and nonprofits seeking to improve financial management, better measure social impact, and increase their capacity for innovation. Prior to CoMetrics, Director Donovan was Senior Policy Advisor to the White House, working collaboratively with the Office of Social Innovation and the Council on Environmental Quality.

As OSCUI Director, William Myers is responsible for fostering credit union development and the effective delivery of financial services by small, low-income and newly chartered credit unions. Mr. Myers works to ensure the viability and successful operation of credit unions through training, technical assistance, loans and grants. A proficient financial professional and accomplished credit union leader, Myers joined NCUA already nationally recognized for exceptional and creative work supporting credit unions throughout the country.

Join Cathie Mahon, Federation President and CEO, and Terry Ratigan, Senior Federation Consultant, for this exciting opportunity to network with your peers!  If you are CDFI certified, low-income designated or simply interested in taking your community development to the next level, this special session is not to be missed! We look forward to seeing you on February 22nd!
