Developing Good Learners by Steve Ward

This workshop will teach how to develop the Good Learner Repertoires described in Steve Ward and Terry Grimes's best-selling book. Good learner repertoires go well beyond typical "replacement" behaviors and most typically developing individuals acquire them with no formal teaching. Participants will realize the staggering number of skills that we take for granted that may have to be specifically taught for learners to move forward academically and behaviorally. Steve Ward will provides clear scripts for teaching these foundational skills, and also provide analyses, data recommendations, and "Dimension Grids", that will turn you into an analyst, capable of identifying the most relevant current priorities for your student, seeing where the instruction is going, and problem-solving how to get there.

Participants will be expected to bring copies of each book, as this workshop will make frequent reference to each. For those who do not yet have either book, copies will be available for purchase before the workshop.

The Inventory of Good Learner Repertoires-$20
