Meet Michele Bachmann

Former U.S. Presidential Candidate and Long Term Member of the U.S. Congress

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann was the first Republican woman to actively seek the job of President of the United States. Three years ago, without an extensive political organization, nor a significant donor fundraising base, but with the encouragement and financial support of hundreds of thousands of common patriotic Americans, Congresswoman Bachmann entered the Presidential race. Just 60 days later, she won the first contest--the Iowa Straw Poll. That victory, and her subsequent eloquent and astute participation in 15 Republican Presidential debates, drew her international recognition and acclaim.

As a believer in the traditional values upon which America was founded, Congresswoman Bachmann consistently defends America's religious liberties and the importance of the traditional family as a bellwether necessity for a stable society. She has also continuously worked to defend the right to life for all Americans, including the unborn.

With our government's massive growth and huge increase in debt under the current administration, in July 2010, Congresswoman Bachmann was motivated to establish the Congressional Tea Party Caucus--to which she was elected Chairman five years in a row. She boldly calls for a renewed focus on upholding the principles as laid forth by our Founding Fathers in our Constitution and The Bill of Rights.

In an eye-opening conversation, Congresswoman Bachmann delivers a candid and impassioned look at the deficiences of the current direction of America's political policy, and the importance of reflection back to the intentions of our Founding Fathers. Using anecdotes from her prolific and vast political experience, Congresswoman Bachmann highlgihts the necessity for limited government, greater fiscal responsibility, an unrivaled national defense, a foreign policy that is to be both respected and admired, and the protection of liberty for all Americans. Her passion is to once again define America as the great land of opportunity and improved lifestyles for each new generation, and not simply become the land of entitlement. Her audacious viewpoints and perceptive long-term insights into the impact of issues such as National Security, Education, Healthcare, the Global Economy, Immigration, and other traditional social values make for both a riveting presentation, and a call to action for audiences to look deeper into their own positions on America's current political policy, moral standing, and social issues.

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann was the first Republican woman to represent Minnesota's Sixth Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. She is a staunch advocate and self-proclaimed "Constitutional Conservative." Congresswoman Bachmann commits herself to helping Washington find its way by advocating for America's strict adherence to the Constitution. She made herself known, and loudly heard on Capitol Hill as a champion for tax reform, more efficient Government spending, and limited government. She introduced the first bill to repeal Obamacare, the day after it passed, and continually rallied for its repeal, a legislation she believes is economically stifling, heathcare restricting, and an unnecessary government intrusion into people's lives.

Congresswoman Bachmann was a long standing Senior member of both the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Financial Services Committee. She has taken the opportunity of serving on the Intelligence Committee to travel extensively, meetiing with world leaders and advocating for peace through strength to ensure America's national security. As she vowed in her Oath of Office, Congresswoman Bachmann continues to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic." Congresswoman Bachmann is devoted to doing her part to ensure America's safety.

As member of the Financial Services Committee, Congresswoman Bachmann has provided keen insight into the impending financial crisis we will soon face from our uncontrolled spending, continuously elevated taxation, and the restrictive burden and unncessary rules and regulations businesses face that demotivates our economic growth. This insight has led her to become a staunch opponent of the taxpayer-funded bailout of Wall Street and the Dodd-Frank legistlation.

Congresswoman Bachmann served as an unbridled leader in the Minnesota State Senate from 2000-2006. As a Minnesota State Senator she championed the Taxpayers Bill of Rights. Before holding elected office, Congresswoman Bachmann worked on hundreds of civil and criminal cases as a federal tax litigation attorney.

Through her experience as a federal tax attorney, Congresswoman Bachmann came to understand first-hand the need to simplify the current tax code and reduce taxes on working families and small businesses. Yet, it was her role as the proud mother of five natural born children and 23 foster children that led her to call for the abolishment of Goals 2000 and the Profiles of Learning, as well as starting the first K-12 Minnesota charter school for at-risk children. She is praised for her commitment to education and for staunchly advocating for sweeping improvements to our country's current educational system and standards.

Congresswoman Bachmann is a graduate of Winona State University, and received her J.D. at the O.W. Coburn School of Law at Oral Roberts University, and received a L.L.M. in Tax Law at the College of William and Mary. She and her husband reside in Stillwater, Minnesota, where they own a successful health care practice that employs almost 40 people.
