"Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy: The Sky is the Limit!"
Description: This workshop will provided an in depth introduction to cognitive behavioral therapy. It will present original play therapy techniques to use in cognitive behavioral therapy. Techniques for cognitive behavioral therapy and play therapy will be intertwined to present a unique therapuetic process that will tackle different presenting problems. This worksop will present how these "state of the art" techniques can be developed to fit different situations and various populations. Learner Objectives:As a result of attendance at this one-day workshop, attendees will: 1- Define cognitive behavioral therapy. 2- Understand how to combine cognitive behavioral therapy and play therapy. 3- Acquire play therapy techniques to work with anxiety disorders. 4- Identify the spectrum of feelings in children 5- Learn about the importance of termination in play therapy 6- Acquire termination techniques to use in play therapy.

Description: This workshop will provide professionals in the field an opportunity to learn through discussing and practice about family play therapy with special needs population. It will define systemic thepry and family therapy. It will help participants create a tool box of interventions to implement during play therapy sessions with special needs population. Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to: 1- Define systemic theory 2- Define family therapy 3- Incorporate play into family therapy 4- Use play thechniques for family play therapy with special needs population.
"Child Centered Play Therapy: Tales from the Playroom"
Description: This workshop will bring Child Centered Play Therapy theory and skills to life. Participants will learn the basic Child Centered Play Therapy skills, how to establish and engage in therapeutic relationships with young children and a way to incorporate Child Centered Play Therapy principles in their work with children and families. Learner Objectives: Participants will learn: 1- Skills for establishing therapeutic relationships with young children 2- Principles of Play Therapy by Virgina Axiline 3- Implementation of Child Centered Play Therapy: tracking, responding to feelings, responding to effort, returning responsibility and therapeutic limit setting.
