HIV/AIDS/STDs June 2016

This engaging training will help participants increase their knowledge of the basics of HIV, AIDS, and STDs. Participants will learn about the history of these diseases, testing, treatment and prevention. The most up-to-date research will be shared with participants, along with tools to relay these messages to adolescents.

This training is required for all professionals applying for the Certified Sexual Health Educator program, through the Sex Ed Academy at EyesOpenIowa. Sex Ed Academy members must attend the entire training for credit and receive a 75% passing score on the post-test.

*When taken with Puberty/Reproductive Anatomy/Contraception, this course is available for AEA Teacher Re-Licensure credit.

This training is open to all professionals and college students.

Lunch and all materials are included in training cost.
