Richard received his BA in Religious Studies from the University of Waterloo, an MA in Theology from St Michael's University in the Toronto School of Theology, and a PhD in Theology from Wycliffe College.  He has served in a number of Presbyterian congregations and has taught at Presbyterian College in the Montreal School of Theology at McGill.  Currently the VST St Andrew's Chair in Studies in the Reformed Tradition, he teaches in the areas of Introduction to Theology, Reformation History, Christian Spirituality, and Reformed Theology of the 19th and 20th Centuries. He has also lectured at Regent College in Theology and Proclamation.

The Clergy Conference is open to active clergy in the Diocese of New Westminster who hold the Bishop's license for parish ministry, and their spouses.  As of February 25th, the Conference is now open to Retired Clergy and their spouses-however, Retired Clergy and their spouse must each pay the $250 fee.  

The Registration deadline has also been extended to Tuesday, 15 March 2016.

Participants must register in two steps:

Step 1: To register for the Conference, click on the "Register Now!" button below.  Use this button to register yourself and your spouse if they are planning to attend the conference with you.

There is no Registration Fee for active clergy from the Diocese of New Westminster who hold the Bishop's license for parish ministry, as the Diocese is covering your registration costs and meals.  Spouses of active clergy, Retired Clergy, and the spouse of Retired Clergy must pay the $250 fee.

A spouse can register to attend the conference for $250.00 which includes conference sessions and meals. You can register your spouse when you click on the "Register Now" button below.  

It is possible to pay the registration fee by credit card using Pay Pal from the registration button.  Payment can also be made by cheque payable to "Diocese of New Westminster" (with "Clergy Conference" in the memo line) and mailed to Clergy Conference, 1410 Nanton Avenue, Vancouver BC V6H 2E2.  

Step 2: Participants must make their own hotel reservations and pay for their own rooms. The conference hotel is the Listel Hotel Whistler at 4121 Village Green in Whistler Village.  The conference room rate is $79.00 per room plus taxes and parking is $10/day.  Register with Ms Ravi Lasher the Reservation Manager at 1-800-663-5472 ext 101 from Monday to Friday. Please quote Reservation Number 288064 and "Anglican Diocese of New Westminster". Please book your hotel room as soon as possible.

Participants are welcome to make their own arrangements to share rooms.

On Monday, April 18 Registration for the Clergy Conference will begin at 12 noon, and the conference itself will start at 2 pm at the Whistler Conference Centre. The conference ends at 12 noon on Wednesday, April 20.

The Listel Hotel's check-in time is Monday at 4 pm, but if you arrive earlier parking is available in the hotel's underground garage and luggage can be stored.  Check-out time is Wednesday at 11 am.

The Whistler Conference Centre is a short walk from the Listel Hotel Whistler.

You can cancel up to Monday, March 28th at no cost.  

Cancellations after Monday, March 28th - Participants (both clergy and spouse) will be required to pay the full registration fee of $250.
