2016 Crank In & Open House

at Erlbacher Knitting Machine Company

April 6-10, 2015

Please join us for our annual crank in/workshop/tornado drill/PaRtYYY! Starting with a mixer on Wednesday, April 6 at 5pm (at our shop) and ending with an exit meeting on Sunday morning, April 10, we will be knitting nonstop.....well, ok, there will be a lot of visiting, learning, laughing, buying/selling and just plain old fun going on too!!

The registration fee is $40 per person.  Please fill out registration on each person in your party (this makes it easy for us to give a head count for lunches).  If you will only attend for one day, the cost is $20.

The Auburn Place is right in front of the convention center.  They love crankers!!  Call the local number to make your reservation!  573-651-4486  We have a block of rooms reserved for our crankers! 

The front desk will have a map to tell you how to get to the shop and to Jamie's house.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

April 6, 2016  Wednesday.  5-7pm  MIXER at the shop (425 Good Hope)  Potluck SNACKS

April 7, 2016 Thursday  Knitting Workshops at the Convention Center

Beginning Knitting 9 to 11am.  Heels will be the main topic.

Ribbing 1-3pm.  Getting the ribber set up and timed and understanding the ribber will be the main topic of this workshop.

***Experienced knitters are invited to attend these workshops and help people.  If we have enough helpers, the group will be split into small groups, each with a designated helper.  It is understood that everyone does things differently, if you choose to help (and I hope you do), please pay attention to what Jamie is saying and demonstrate the same technique.  Helpers, please arrive 15 minutes early to the workshop!

****Crankers not involved in the workshop, please don't expect to set up your station during these workshops.  If you want to visit, please do so at the hotel or in the lobby.  In years past, everyone has been so respectful of those who come to learn and it is truly appreciated!

Dyeing Workshop will be held at Jamie's House.  There will be 3 sessions.  9-11 11-1 and 1-3, the cost is $12 per skein.  Base yarn is Opal and the dyes are professional, so your dyed creations will wash and wear beautifully!

CRANK IN SET UP BEGINS AT 3PM ON THURSDAY!  

April 8, 2016 Friday Cranking and Socializing!  Doors open at 7:30am and close at 8:30pm

Demonstrations will be held during the day.  The schedule of demos will be at the registration desk in the lobby of the convention center.

Shop tours will go on until 4pm.  Tour directors will announce the departures.

LUNCH (everyone's favorite part) will be served at NOON!

April 9, 2016 Saturday More Cranking and Socializing! Doors open at 7:30am and close at 8:30pm.

Demonstrations will be held throughout the day.  Schedule will be at the registration desk.

LUNCH will be served at NOON!

April 10, 2016 Sunday until noon

This is the sad part.  Packing up and heading home.  We hold an exit meeting at 10am, we discuss how we can make things better next year.
