Trail Riding Workshops DEFINITION & DURATION -Trail Riding Workshops offer riding out on the trail where those who enjoy this activity are often faced with problems that can't be duplicated in an arena. Focusing on building confidence and staying safe. Mastering trail obstacles. Trail Ride Workshops will range from 1-2 hrs.
CURRICULUM - Trail Horse Workshops include using the same basics, cues for going forward, backing up, emergency stops, and giving to the bit, as does the regular Rider's Clinic. It also addresses such things as "jigging" on the trail, crossing streams and bridges, and problems that arise while riding with other horses. The added pleasure of this event is to enjoy the beauty of the out-of-doors and our wonderful location. Some portions of this workshop will take place in an arena to allow horses and riders to get to know each other and for the Clinician to be able to evaluate each horse and rider to make sure everyone knows some basic cues in order to stay safe out on the trail. Participants with other problems will also have those problems addressed.
Horsemanship skills used in areas of trail riding, trail obstacles, dessage, reining, cattle work, horsemanship, ground work and liberty skills will all be a part of these workshops.
During the week you will have the opportunity to participate in equine demonstrations, class room/lecture events & spend time riding & working with your own horse with the coaching & guidance of our professionals.
Relax in the afternoons or you can also ride and enjoy the trails of the farm during you free time as much as you like.
-Enjoy a special farm tour with information & knowledge of the
history of the area and the farm.
-Group Campfire Chat Sessions every night!
