President and owner of ForrestPerkins, Forrest (FASID, ISHC) heads a 50-person international   hospitality design and architectural firm with offices in Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC and New York.  Current projects include the renovation of the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, DC; The St. Anthony Hotel in San Antonio; and Fairmont Hotels in San Francisco and Washington, DC.  A Fellow of The American Society of Interior Designers, Forrest is a member of HD Magazine's Platinum Circle and was honored as ASID’s Designer of Distinction.

Over his successful 36-year career, Adams has specialized in hotel design and large-scale development.  Prior to joining ForrestPerkins as Senior Vice President (AIA), he served as Senior Vice President of Mathes Brierre Architecture in New Orleans.  Among the many highlights of his career, Adams collaborated with I.M. Pei of Pei Cobb Freed & Partners on the design of the New York Four Seasons Hotel.  Adams has co-authored Hotel Design, Planning and Development, which was published in November 2012 by Routledge in the United Kingdom and W.W. Norton in the United States.

Forrest and Adams will use a recent hotel as a case study to illustrate how the owner chose a brand.  Adams, who led the case-study project from the beginning, will detail the research that was done by ForrestPerkins to assist the client in choosing which brand to pursue. 

Forrest and Adams will also address the Dallas market as a whole and the downtown area specifically.
