Conference Scholarship Application 

Student Scholarship: Student Scholarships may be awarded to graduate students, interns or residents to attend an MAGPS fall or spring conference. The scholarships cover registration fees and conference luncheon or banquet. Awards are based on available scholarship funds; preference is given to 1st-time attendees. Recipients are expected to write a one-paragraph summary of their experience of the conference for publication in the MAGPS Newsletter.

Deadline: 2 weeks prior to the conference.

 Volunteer Scholarship: A Volunteer Scholarship may be awarded to early career professionals in exchange for volunteering to work with the conference committee before, during, and immediately following an MAGPS fall or spring conference. The scholarship covers the registration fees and conference luncheon or banquet. Awards are based on available scholarship funds and the volunteer assistance needs of the conference committee. Recipients are expected to write a one-paragraph summary of their experience of the conference for publication in the MAGPS Newsletter.

Louisa Schwartz Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship was established to honor Louisa Schwartz, a longtime MAGPS member and guiding light of the Annual Training Day for many years. The award is intended to encourage clinicians early in their career to further their group therapy education by attending an MAGPS fall or spring conference. Recipients are expected to write a one-paragraph summary of their experience of the conference for publication in the MAGPS Newsletter.

Qualifications: Early career clinician and 1st-time attendee at an MAGPS conference.
