Sidewalk Sales, Splash Area, Life Size Games, Vendor and Craft Fair, Games, Live Music, and more!
Mark your calendars and Celebrate Summer in Bethel! The weekend kicks off on Friday with our Annual Sidewalk Sales and everyones favorite BeerFest on Friday evening. The fun continues on Saturday with a SplashFest on the lawn of the Municipal Center, a Street Fair on PT Barnum with music, vendors, a mini Bethel Comic Con, and life size games. Then stroll along Greenwood Ave for Street Performances, and Sales. We are looking for vendors, sponsors, and volunteers that want to get in on the fun! So, if you grow it, bake it, make it, sell it or raise it, we want you! We are looking for arts & crafts producers and retailers to expand the amount of handmade and unique items offered at the festival! If you are a community organization, make the festival your meeting place to provide information about your organization.
The festival will be located throughout downtown Bethel. You have the option to indicate your location choice by choosing the correct box on the registration form. Everyone registering must pay the vendor unless you are Bethel Chamber Member or Non-Profit. If you are a Bethel Chamber Member please be sure to contact the office to get your registration discount code. Also if you are a non-profit and looking for a free space please call the office to discuss your options. If you have any questions about the various activities and locations don't hesitate to reach out!
Please note that we are no longer accepting applications for Food Vendors or Home Improvement Vendors. Jewelry vendors please call the office to discuss options.
Festival Hours and Vending Location Options
Saturday July 16th:
Municipal Center Lawn- Splash Fest - 11am to 4pm
PT Barnum Square- PlayFest(Life Size Games, Mini Bethel Comic Con and Music) - 11am to 4pm
Greenwood Ave - Sidewalk Sales and Entertainers - 11am to 4:00pm
Fees:
See Registration Form - Everyone must pay the vendor fee. Spot choices and upgrades are available and must be indicated on the registration form. If you do not indicate a spot location choice, we will choose for you and specific requests may not be granted.
Rules:
In order to be included in the Schedule of Events, and event program your application and payment must be recieved by May 30th.
Vendor participation is subject to approval by the Bethel Chamber of Commerce Retail Committee. Upon acceptance of your application, you will be assigned a specific area in which to set up. You are only permitted to set up in the designated location. Tent spaces are 10 x 10. If you require additional space, it is available for an additional fee.
Food vendors must have proper health permits from the Board of Health and require a seperate fee of $25.00 paid directly to the Town of Bethel. There are very limited Food Vendor Spaces available. Food Vendors will be notified by May 15th if they have been accepted.
All vendors are required to have their own tables, tents, etc. available for the duration of the event. Tables must be staffed at all times. The Chamber or the Town of Bethel are not responsible for damage to property left unattended. We request that you park close to your setup area to unload only, and then please move your vehicle to one of the off-street parking lots. Setup begins 9am on Saturday. Vendors located on the Municipal Center Lawn and along Greenwood Ave can leave tents setup. We recommend you take all valuables, there is no security. Vendors located on PT Barnum Sq must break down at the end of the day on Saturday. If you'd like to set up on Sunday you must indicate that on the registration form. There is limited space available on Sunday on PT Barnum Sq and there are no activities scheduled in the square that day. You will receive complete setup instructions and a vendor number a few days before the event.
You are responsible for setup and cleanup of your site.
Electricity is available on a limited basis and is only available in certain locations. You are responsible for bringing adequate extension cords, we recommend at least a 150' cord.
You are responsible to collect and report all sales tax.
The festival is a rain or shine event and no refunds will be issued for any reason.
