Graduate Business Conference Alumni Summit 2016

The Graduate Business Forum is excited to welcome GBC alumni to the 2016 Graduate Business Conference (GBC 2016) to be held from April 6-8, 2016 hosted by the University of St. Gallen in St. Gallen, Switzerland. For those who are able to arrive early, there will be a welcome drink arranged on the 5th and a special tour  and networking through St. Gallen in the afternoon.

The theme to be explored this year is “Giving Back: The Responsibility of Future Leaders”.

The 2016 Alumni Summit is an unparalleled opportunity to network with peers from many years of Graduate Business Conferences, including this year's Graduate Business Conference Student Delegates. The Alumni Summit is open to everyone who has previously attended a Graduate Business Conference (as a delegate or as an organizer), and will be the biggest alumni reunion in the history of the GBF. Check out what happened at past Alumni Summits here.

Alumni Conference Fee is US$75 and includes attendance & access to:

  • Exclusive conference with seminar and workshops designed for student leaders
  • Seat at the Annual Student Leadership Award Banquet attended by delegates, sponsors and special guests
  • Keynote speeches and interactive sessions with senior executives from leading global companies, and with academics experienced in this year's theme
  • Alumni-only networking opportunities
  • 3 meals a day and snacks throughout the conference... and much much more!!!

The Conference Fee does not include accommodation costs. Alumni will have access to special negotiated rates at hotels selected by the Conference Organizers for their good quality. You may register for your stay through this link. For more information, please check out our Conference FAQ.

We will tailor speakers, discussions and content to the interests of those attending based on the registration form. We look forward to meeting you once again, this time at GBC 2016 in St. Gallen!

If you are an alumni, but not yet a member of the LinkedIn group, you are welcome to join here.

Check out what previous attendees had to say about past Alumni Summits:

  • Amazing conference where GBF manages to get together under one roof to the leaders of the top global business schools. There is no better place to update your business skills and improve your networking.
  • Was a great event, very well hosted by ISB equally well organized by the GBF team. GBC event reminds you of your B school days and gives you fresh burst of energy to follow your dreams. Good to see GBF recognizing the schools who are contributing to the larger society.
  • The Alumni Summit of GBC 2013 at ISB Hyderabad, was a memorable one. It provided the networking opportunities with current delegates and fellow GBC Alumni, but it also exposed the Indian traditions and culture to the rest of the world. Overall, a great GBC and Alumni Summit!
  • Each year I have attended an alumni summit I applaud the vision and drive of the host schools, not to mention the sheer joy of seeing delegates from all over the world share, discuss and learn from each other. I sincerely hope to continue to attend the alumni summits, thereby being part of this amazing experience. Ohh did I mention the parties.. ;)
  • Each GBC gathering is a learning experience. Not only for profesional knowledge but also for personal growth. The summit is an opportunity for possible business connection and to meet friends from a diverse background of culture and working perspective. I always leave with energy and inspirations after few conference days.
  • Excellent conference with plenty of opportunity to meet, share, and connect with young, passionate and experienced global leaders!  Fun and energizing at the same time!
  • To see and feel the engagement among delegates, alumni and organizers makes GBC an event without much comparison.  It is inspirational, engaging, innovative and thoughtful - all with loads of fun and compassion.
  • GBF is an excellent forum to find people with your same interests and share enriching experiences.  I really enjoy the opportunity of encountering some delegates and now talk not only about the MBA/school, but also about work & personal projects.  It is helping (to) create a bond: a great, strong & global network that can be present in our daily lives.
  • In the words of GBC's founder Jim Deveau: 'Keep the dream alive and bear it to heart!'  Well that’s how I remember it.
  • It's a fantastic opportunity to meet your friends from all over the world - whilst benefiting from the students motivation and enthusiasm
  • It has been so inspiring to meet up with the GBF alumni. The energy at this event is incredible, and I felt a part of something unique.  The sessions at the alumni summit opened my eyes to opportunities to lead a better life.
  • …I have organized the 2009 GBC in Taiwan, and have participated now as an (alumnus).  This year Alumni Summit was all about reconnection, togetherness, bonding, responsibility, good time, continuity :)
  • For the first time for alumni the summit provided a unique chance of interacting with the GBF community and current delegates.  Not only was the program of the summit quite culturally diverse with many social events and networking opportunities, but it also perfectly matched particular interests and needs of alumni, for example in career coaching.
  • GBC2011 was great; it felt like going back to school, offered valuable insight into my business and a great weekend with friends!
  • I had an absolute blast in Barcelona!  It was great meeting old friends and rekindling old friendships.  I will absolutely be in Rochester next year, and am excited about watching the alumni conference grow.
  • The GBC 2011 in Barcelona was an incredible experience to meet up again with all the charismatic and energetic people you spent many hours in workshops together in previous years.
