This introductory workshop answers basic questions such as:

   * Am I ready to start a business?

    * Does my business idea make sense?

    * What business structure do I need?

    * How do I secure financing?

    * What is a Business Plan and why do I need one?

    * What are some issues I may not have considered?

If you have an idea, interested in pursuing your passion, or want to start a business and be your own boss, then you do not want to miss this event.

There is a small investment on your part. You can pay $25 when you register now or you can pay $30 at the door. So for less than the price of a good meal, you will get some great information that could potentially increase your income.

Instructor: John Dorland

John s the founding and Managing Principal of Dorland & Associates, an international management consulting firm. He is a specialist in strategic planning, financial management, leadership and organizational development and value chain, and he has advised financial services and financial corporations, NGOs, governmental agencies, and commercial organizations on four continents. John has been the CEO and CFO of a diversified multi-billion dollar, multi-state financial services corporation; President/CEO of two multi-hundred million dollar regional financial services companies; Principal with a major (top 10) international consulting firm; and Chief Operating Officer of a medical services management company. He has an Engineering degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, as well as a M.B.A. and a M.S. in Political Science/International Relations.  He is the co-author of Duty, Honor, Company - West Point Fundamentals for Business Success, a pragmatic application of leadership skills learned at the United States Military Academy to today's business world.

Walk-in attendees must check the workshop calendar after 6:00 Friday evening before the workshop to see if the workshop is cancelled.  

Registered attendees will be notified of any changes or cancellations.

Feel free to bring your own beverage since there are none available within the building during the workshop.
