This HPO pre-approved, 3 CPD event has been developed and will be presented by Murray Frank of Constructive Home Solutions.
The 2012 BC Building Code contained numerous and significant code changes, many of which have impacted the design, construction and inspection of BC homes.
This session focuses on a high level overview of the numerous changes as well as an exploration of just how these changes have affected the industry. Includes NAFS (for windows and doors), 9.36 (for Energy), & the new Lateral Load provisions (learn from the people who actually wrote the book on it).
Revised Format Arrive at 5 pm for registration, and grab a cup of tea. We will start the presentation at 5:15 pm and then break for dinner at 6:30. We are also setting up classroom style with rectangle tables for greater comfort.
Murray Frank has been delivering quality builder education for over 30 years. His easy style and clear presentations are aclaimed and his passion for quality construction is obvious.
Based on an established Building Science Curriculum taught by Murray Frank at many Colleges and Universities throughout Western Canada, this series has been completely re-worked with the residential home builder in mind. Knowing why things are done, makes it easier to avoid costly mistakes. This is Part 2 of the 6-Part "Fundamental Series" courses that are "must have" courses for building durable, efficient houses that conform with current building codes.
