Early Registration Packet Pickup: Friday, May 6th from 4-7pm at Miami Marine Stadium Flexpark. We will also be doing a beach cleanup during this time with the Surfrider Foundation.

* Please Note: All competitors are required to have some form of whistle on board while racing. Please note all competitors under 12 must wear a PFD (1,2, or 3). Otherwise a PFD (1,2, or 3) is required to be attached to your board at all times.

Windhaven Insurance Orange Bowl Paddle Championship

WHO?

Building on the success of our previous years, the Orange Bowl Paddle Championship will feature nearly 350 racers and thousands of spectators. Local celebrities, paddle professionals, participants and spectators will join “littles” in the largest paddle clinic in the world. We will once again look to draw the world’s top elite competitors in paddle boarding as well as hundreds of recreational amateur participants.

WHAT?

The OBPC event provides four courses (Elite, Corporate, Recreational and Sprint). Winding its way in and around Virginia Key, the Orange Bowl Paddle Championship is a unique course.

WHEN?
 
May 7, 2016 - Onsite registration will begin at 7:30 AM and end at 8:30 AM. The Elite Challenge presented by Adventure Sports will start at 9:00 AM, the Recreational Race will start at 9:10 AM, the Corporate Challenge presented by Blue World Paddle at 12:00 PM and concluding with the Sprint Race presented by JP Australia at 1:00 PM. Closing ceremonies and prizes to follow at the conclusion of the Sprint Race presented by JP Australia.

WHY?

The Windhaven Orange Bowl Paddle Championship is a charity–driven event with a focus on children and community. All funds raised by the event will go to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami to fund mentorship activities in the area.

CASH PRIZES!

Minimum cash prizes will be given to the top three men and women of the Elite Race presented by Adventure Sports for both 12'6" and 14' boards. (There must be at least three entries in a class for a cash prize to be awarded). The payouts are as follows:

1st Place = $750
2nd Place = $300
3rd Place = $200

*Additional prize money to be awarded based on registration numbers. 

Medals and "product swag" will be given to the winners of the recreational races.

All participants registered prior to Wednesday, May 4th will be entered into a raffle.

Course Maps:

ELITE RACE PRESENTED BY ADVENTURE SPORTS: The #OrangeBowlPaddle Elite Course will be a technical challenge. This 8.13 mile course rounding historic Virginia Key will have a little bit of everything. Be prepared to navigate through the flats, the bay, open ocean and battle strong currents. Let's hear who is in!



RECREATIONAL RACE: Below is the recreational course map for #OrangeBowlPaddle. This will be a 2.5 mile loop in very protected waters. Great for the whole family to enjoy. Added bonus you will always be insight of friends, family and spectators!! 

OUTRIGGER CANOE RACE: Below is the outrigger canoe course map for #OrangeBowlPaddle. This will be a 10.5 mile course.
