2016 Alzheimer's Association Annual Dementia Conference
 

The Alzheimer's Association Annual Dementia Conference is for individuals with dementia and all members of their care team, including family, friends other caregivers and professionals.

This year's morning keynote address will be presented by Lisa Gwyther, MSWassociate professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University, on the topic of Caregiver Alternatives to Running on Empty. She also serves as the director of the Duke Aging Center Family Support Program, an award-winning state-funded first responder, clearinghouse, training and technical assistance center for families and professionals caring for people with Alzheimer’s disease.

The afternoon keynote will be presented by Esther Oh, M.D., assistant professor in the Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology at the Johns Hopkins University and associate director of the Johns Hopkins Memory and Alzheimer's Treatment Center. Her clinical expertise is in evaluation and management of memory disorders and will address the conference on Advances in Neuroimaging: The New Frontier in Dementia Diagnosis and Treatment.
