The Way of Life in the Pond

Saturday, June 11 at 10 a.m.
Denning's Point

Pond life is a fascinating story of adaptation where camouflage, life cycles, and other natural wonders play a critical role. Hudson Highlands Nature Museum's Carl Heitmuller leads a hands-on exploration of the critters at Denning's Point, asking questions like:

  • What is an adaptation?
  • How are aquatic animals and plants adapted for life in the pond?

The wetlands at Denning's Point will be the focus of inquiry and discovery with a first-hand observation of how the small creatures, invertebrates, amphibians and fish, are each adapted to their habitat in unique ways.
