Course Fees and Registration Requirements
Scientific Conference fee includes Thursday's lunch and dinner and Friday's river cruise for registrants only. Guests are welcomed at a separate fee. This course is limited to 50 registrants. Once this limit has been reached, a waitlist will be created.

Pelvic Pain Advanced Seminar fee includes materials and meals for registrants only. No guests are allowed in this advanced course. This course is limited to 60 registrants (DO/MD, midlevel practioners, PTs, DO/MD medical students  only). Once this limit has been reached, a waitlist will be created.

International Certification Examination fee includes materials. Lunch is on your own. No guests are allowed in the room during the examination. 

The IC Examination is available to AFDMA members only and registration is only open to those individuals who have completed all three (3) Modules taking in the US and taught by AFDMA instructors and have had one (1) year of practice following completion of their third module. Verification will be made and if there are any discrepences, we will contact you. Verification of membership and completion of all three modules will be made once registration is received, or please contact Holly Macriss, AFDMA Executive Director, at afdmausa@gmail.com with your questions.

Call for Abstracts
Interested in presenting an abstract at the Scientific Conference? The deadline to submit your abstract is June 27, 2016. Abstracts will be presented in 15 minute intervals in the morning of either July 14 or 15, 2016. Abstract content for consideration could be on:

  • Scientific evidence / studies from the world of FDM or neighboring areas: This includes interesting research projects, studies which are planned, or under elaboration and the like. The scientific work can still be in work on the date of submission.
  • Case reports / case studies: The European FDM Association will start the first EFDMA case report contest. Every practitioner can submit a single case study according to certain criteria. All submitted case reports will be considered with regard to the criteria in the guidelines. If they meet the requirements they will be admitted to the contest. The studies will then be evaluated by a jury consisting of FDM instructors and researchers. All contestants that meet the criteria will have free access to the 7th FDM World Congress in Cologne, Germany. The best case report will be honored at the 7th FDM World Congress. The winner will also receive an award of 500 Euros and free access to the Congress.

  • New hypotheses: Profound, clinical observation about the FDM and the Typaldos method or novel applications of the FDM.

Learning objectives
1. Be able to describe the application of FDM treatment principles in pelvic pain
2.  Know the concept of viscerosomatic convergence in pelvic pain and why it causes diagnostic challenges.
3.  Understand the complexity of pelvic fascial planes and how fascial dysfunction may lead to pain states
4.  Be familiar with common conditions in the female patient that could present as pelvic pain.

CME Hours
The AOA Council on Continuing Medical Education has approve this program for 6 credits of AOA Category 1A CME credits.

All other healthcare professionals must submit their seminar certificate to their licensing organization to receive CEUs.

Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
