Immersion Day for Middle & High School students

Kick – off the 2016 Atlanta Francophonie festival at the Alliance Française and practice your French in a fun and relaxed setting!

If there’s one thing that’s sets the French language apart -other than the fact that it is spoken by 274 million people world wide, it’s the rich diversity of its many expressions!

The theme “dis-moi dix mots” “tell me ten words” invites you to take a journey and discover French spoken in different parts of the Francophone words. Connect with Québec, Congo, Switzerland, Haiti, Beligum and France by learning and playing with these ten words. What do they mean? How are they used? Who says them? Come to Alliance Française on March 12 and find out!

chafouin        fada                poudrerie      dépanneur     lumerotte

dracher          ristrette          vigousse         tap-tap           champagné

Students will participate in creative writing and artistic workshop activities around the theme "dis-moi dix mots" which will lead them to work on ten chosen French words and produce an individual or a collective work of art. "Dis-moi dix mots" is an annual pedagogical initiative by the French government in partnership with Belgium, Switzerland, Quebec and the International Francophonie Organization, that allows students of French from around the world to discover ten words and work on them through artistic projects.
