ECC 2016 Men's Retreat

Join us for our Men's retreat on April 15-16 at Twin Lakes Bible Camp in Hillsboro, Indiana. The theme of this year’s retreat is, “A Firm Grip: taking hold of the life that is truly life”. The theme comes from the Apostle Paul’s word to us in 1 Timothy 6: “Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confessing in the presence of many witnesses…. In this way [you] will lay up treasure for [yourselves] as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that [you] may take hold of the life that is truly life.” (vv.12,19) We will focus on what it means to take hold of something that is already ours in Christ Jesus, and explore the process of spiritual growth and what it means to lay and strengthen a firm foundation in Christ.

Rob Eyman will be our retreat speaker this year. Rob serves as Pastor for Discipleship at Covenant (EPC) Church in West Lafayette. He received formal training at Gordon-Conwell Seminary, followed by doctoral studies in Spiritual Formation with Fuller Seminary. The cost of this year’s retreat is $91 (same as last year) and includes lodging and meals Friday evening through Saturday evening. The deadline to sign up is April 3, 2016.

Saturday Activities: shooting range, fishing (bring your gear), Frisbee golf, giant zip line, hiking and more!

Directions from Lafayette:
Take State Road 25 W until you reach State Road 28.
Go west on SR 28 and continue for 4 miles.
Turn south (left) onto N. State Road 341.
Continue to follow SR 341 for 12 miles.
Turn west (right) onto US-136 W / IN-341.
Continue to follow  US-136 W / IN-341 for 0.6 miles through Hillsboro.
The camp will be on your left.
