March 24: Professional Ethics in the Public Arena for Planners and Engineers in Transportation

WTS MN and NCITE invite you to learn how to confront ethical dilemmas in your professional work as engineers and planners in the public arena. This session will qualify for 2 PDH (PE) and 2 CM (AICP) credits.

Engineers and planners may confront ethical dilemmas in many forms during their professional practice, especially in the public arena. In this program, attendees will examine the MN and AIPC Codes of Ethics and Rules of Professional Conduct, examine examples of ethical dilemmas in professional practice, and learn how to apply the Codes to identify ethical issues in practice, address them, avoid them, and more effectively manage risk.

Attendees will refresh their understanding of the Minnesota Rules of Professionalism and Ethics and the AICP Code of Ethics. Additionally, attendees will learn how to identify ethical dilemmas in the office and field, as well as learn how ethical practice protects the public health, safety, and welfare.
