Your Business Plan

This workshop is designed to walk participants through all the key elements of creating a business plan and to discuss and help to develop an understanding of the financial projections that form the core of the plan.  The goal is to allow participants to develop a plan that is unique to their business and reflective of the goals that will allow them to succeed.

The workshop begins with a discussion of the business plan’s purpose and outline.  A general description of the business and its positioning in the marketplace follows.  To complete this portion of the workshop, there is discussion of how to create a realistic marketing and sales plan as well as operational considerations.

The central portion of the workshop deals with the finances, both current operational and projected, that the business will generate.  Various aspects of the financial plan are discussed, including sources and uses of funds, start-up expenses, cash flow, breakeven, profit and loss, and balance sheet.  Resources for comparative data are given.

The workshop concludes with a discussion of how a carefully constructed business plan can provide business owners with a realistic “operational” set of goals that are unique to the business and provide a game plan for moving forward successfully.
