Audition information - 1/2 DAY CAMPERS DO NOT AUDITION.
AUDITION DATE & LOCATION:
Mon., June 13th from 12:30pm- 4:30pm-
Grace Community Chapel, 7661 Mexico Rd, St Peters, MO 63376). Are you attending more than one LYT summer camp/workshop, you only need to audition once as we cast all the summer shows from that audition.
WHAT TO BRING TO AUDITIONS (for full day students) :
Lots of enthusiasm and a smile!
A 60 second song (perky, show-type song) WITH musical accompaniment. (No unaccompanied auditions permitted.)
Possibilities for accompaniments include:
1) Bring your own sheet music IF you bring your own accompanist. Please note: We WILL have a piano or keyboard available, BUT we will not provide a pianist.
2) Buy a CD or MP3 (karaoke CDs, etc.) WITHOUT any vocal accompaniment or backup voices. We will have a CD player available and speakers for an MP3 player.
3) Obtain music from: www.musicalcreations.com or www.expresskaraoke.com This will cost you between $5-$10. Allow shipping time. Countless choices!
4) Purchase a karaoke track from ITunes and burn it onto a CD.
- A group dance audition with the choreographer may follow your vocal audition.

"DISNEY'S THE LION KING KIDS" BROADWAY PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP
Ages 5-8 (1/2 DAY CAMPERS) or Ages 8 - Young Adult (Full Day Campers).
What is a WEEK LONG BROADWAY PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP
In each “Week Long Broadway Performance Workshops” and “Summer Stock” Workshop students will be instructed in stage presence, characterization, improv, dance, choreography, proper vocal technique and projection, learning musical numbers, building the set & props, create believable characters, establish objectives and obstacles, and dissect scenes by being in workshop sessions and going through the rehearsal/performance process. On the last day of each workshop, family and friends are invited to a 7pm public performance of the musical or play.
If you love Frozen, Frozen Fever and warm hugs, then this is the camp for you! For the first time in forever,’ spend a super cool week exploring the story, characters, and wonderful songs from both Frozen, and the latest film, Frozen Fever, along with some of your other Disney musical favorites. “Do You Want to Build a Snowman” with Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf? Join us and “Let it Go!”

Mon.,June 27 - Fri.,July 1; AGES 5-8 (1/2 day campers) or Ages 8 - YOUNG ADULT (Full Day Campers)
Disney's The Lion King has captivated the imagination of audiences around the world. The African savannah comes to life at LYT this summer as Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters journey from Pride Rock to the jungle... and back again, in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale. Featuring the hit songs: I Just Can't Wait to Be King, Hakuna Matata, and Can You Feel the Love Tonight , plus many more.There will be a public performance on Friday, July 1st at 7pm.
- HALF DAY SESSION for Ages 5-8; 9:30AM - 12PM (Mon- Thurs.) and Fri., July 1st (On performance day 1/2 day students arrive at 1pm for dress rehearsal and performance at 7pm) ; Tuition $90.00 before June 1st; $100 after
- FULL DAY SESSION for Ages 7– Young Adult, 9:30AM- 3:30PM plus performance on Friday, July 1st at 7pm. (On performance day, Full day students are there the whole day, for set and prop set up, dress rehearsal and the performance at 7pm). Tuition $120.00 before June 1ST; $130 after
