About the Speakers

Carlo has more than 11 years of civil engineering experience designing and managing public and private sector projects. He joined Pacheco Koch in 2007 and is currently an Associate Principal of the firm leading the private development team in the Fort Worth office.  He serves on the Real Estate Council of Greater Fort Worth Programs Committee and Young Leaders Council Steering Committee, is the Chair of the ULI North Texas Young Leaders Group, serves as the Young Leaders representative on the ULI North Texas Advisory Board, and serves his community  by sitting on the Board of Directors for both Lena Pope and the Back to School Roundup serving Tarrant County.  The Fort Worth Business Press named Carlo to their 40 Under 40 list in 2015.

Carlo’s project experience includes hundreds of projects in various market sectors including healthcare, K-12, higher-education, retail, industrial, office, residential, mission critical and mixed use projects.  He has been the project manager on many high-profile projects in the region including the FAA Regional Headquarters in Fort Worth, as well as the New Parkland Hospital and Lake Highlands Town Center in Dallas.  He began his career in Houston, Texas after graduating from Texas A&M University in 2005.  While in Houston he worked on residential development projects and on the consultant team for various municipal utility districts throughout the greater Houston area.

Carlo resides in Keller with his wife (Sarah) of 9 years, four month old daughter (Evelyn), and two dogs (Rocco and Mia).

Mark is an Associate Principal leading BOKA Powell’s Fort Worth Office and has over 25 years of architectural and interior design experience. He has served as Project Manager and Project Architect on a wide variety of projects throughout his career including educational, corporate and industrial projects. Mark’ current client list includes Sundance Management, Pinnacle Bank, Tarrant County College District, Fort Worth Housing Solutions, Kite Realty, Hillwood and the Fort Worth Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Some of his most notable recent projects include: Tarrant County College’s state-of-the-art Trinity River East Campus, the Museum of Living Art at the Fort Worth Zoo, Phases II and III of the West 7th Development, and the recently completed Sundance Square Plaza including the Commerce Building, Westbrook Building and Cassidy Building.

Over the years, Mark has played a significant role in projects for other major, local clients such as Alcon Laboratories, The City of Fort Worth, Burlington Northern Santa Fe, Texas Wesleyan University, The Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Fort Worth Country Day, Westlake Academy, Klein Tools, Bell Helicopter, Fort Worth ISD, Lockheed Martin, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, and the Tarrant Regional Water District.

An active member of the Fort Worth community, Mark is a past President of the Fort Worth Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, a 2004 recipient of the Texas Society of Architects’ William Caudill Award for Young Professional Achievement, and the Fort Worth Chapter of the American Institute of Architects 1998 Young Professional of the Year. Mark earned his Bachelor of Architecture in 1989 from Texas Tech University and is currently serving a second term as President of the Leadership Fort Worth Board of Directors. Mark is also a member of the Downtown Fort Worth Rotary Club and the Fort Worth Club.

Serving as Senior Vice President with Hillwood Properties, Robert Folzenlogen is responsible for oversight of the 18,000-acre AllianceTexas master plan from a strategic vision and planning perspective. Robert works closely with Hillwood’s development teams, consultant groups, and jurisdictional partners in the direction of new development projects and regional initiatives. He also oversees the master development of Alliance Town Center, a 900-acre mixed-use community located in the Heritage area of Alliance. Alliance Town Center is the major commercial growth center for the north Fort Worth IH-35W Corridor and is home to a major medical center, 800,000 sf of retail, office and a mix of residential communities.

In addition to his core Alliance responsibilities, Robert is actively involved in all land development activities related to Frisco Station. Frisco Station is a 234-acre high-density mixed use community located in Frisco Texas along the Dallas North Tollway.

At build out, Frisco Station is anticipated to include over 5 million square feet of class A office and medical uses, 2,400 urban living units and over 200,000 square feet of destination food and beverage concepts.

The 18,000-acre AllianceTexas development is unparalleled in its vision of a dynamic and diversified community. The project’s foundation is the Alliance Global Logistics Hub – an international trade and logistics complex offering inland port transportation options via one of the nation’s largest intermodal yards, two Class I rail lines, the world’s first industrial airport and connecting state and interstate highways. Stemming from this strong commercial base are corporate campuses, office complexes, tech and data centers, destination retail and entertainment venues, residential housing, schools, churches, and community shopping. In total, the development encompasses over 40 million square feet, more than 425 corporate residents and over 44,000 employees.

Tom Galbreath is President of Dunaway, a 140 person multi-disciplined planning/landscape architecture, engineering, surveying firm with offices in four cities. He serves as President and CEO with ultimate responsibility for the soundness of the firm’s processes, programs, and personnel. In addition to firm leadership, he provides insight and support to the firm’s project managers on a daily basis, and he also serves in a consulting capacity for community engagement and entitlements for key clients and projects. He is actively involved in regional development organizations and serves as a liaison between private sector development and municipal agencies charged with development standards and guidelines. Tom is active in the following roles and organizations:  Greater Fort Worth Real Estate Council Board Member and Chair of Public Affairs, Co-Chair Blue Zone Fort Worth Built Environment, Fort Worth MTP Task Force, Fort Worth Storm Water Task Force, Past Chairman and active member of the Fort Worth Development Advisory Committee, Committee Member of North Fort Worth Transportation Task Force, Board member of Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, American Society of Landscape Architects. Tom is a registered landscape architect in the State of Texas. 

Jocelyn Murphy is the Planning Manager for the Zoning and Land Use section in the Planning and Development Department of the City of Fort Worth. The Zoning Section includes working with customers on zoning changes and staffing the Zoning Commission, zoning plan review as part of the building permit process, and Urban Forestry for the retention and planting of trees. The section is also responsible for the update of the future land use map in the Comprehensive Plan. She is the city’s primary representative for implementation of the NAS Fort Worth JRB Joint Land Use study with the goal of encouraging land use decisions that are compatible with the base.  She has worked in planning and development for almost 22 years at the municipal and regional levels of government as well as with a private firm that specialized in serving smaller local governments.  She received a Bachelor’s from Texas A&M in Geography and a Master’s in Applied Geography – Land Development and Management, from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, and has her certification with the Congress of the New Urbanism.

Chris is Austin Commercial’s director of marketing and business development. He has spent his entire 15-year career with Austin, serving in both the operational and business development functions of the organization. Chris is a member of Real Estate Council of Greater Fort Worth and ULI North Texas.

Some of Austin Commercial’s recent high-profile projects in Fort Worth includes TCU’s new Schollmaier basketball arena, BNSF campus and Clearfork office building. Other notable projects for Austin includes Toyota’s North American HQ, a confidential HQ for Granite Properties and 34-story, 27-story, and 25-story towers in downtown Dallas.

Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management (’01), MBA (’04) and UT Executive Education Program (’11).
