WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS:

1. CONNECTIONS COUNT!: Relationships really matter; as human beings connections to others satisfy a basic human need to be close to & supported by others. This workshop will look at the “I vs. We”, communication styles, & what successful people do to build lasting & mutually satisfying relationships.

2. STRENGTHENING FAMILIES: Love & Limits: This workshop will discuss effective ways of setting limits – rules, consequences, ways to communicate so your teen will listen. When you have rules & consequences, when you follow through to make sure your child is doing what he or she is supposed to, & when you do & say things to build a positive loving relationship, your child will know that you love him or her.

3. REACHING OUT: Concrete Supports in Times of Need: Examining the need to enlarge our circle of relationships, what prevents us from reaching out for help, how to connect with support, & how to be a support.
