AHEAD: Alliances Helping Employers Achieve Diversity- May 19th 

The U.S. Department of Labor- Office of Federal Contract Compliance Program (OFCCP), U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs- Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E), and Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) invite you to attend a Symposium and Job Fair focused on recruiting and hiring individuals with disabilities and veterans.

The Symposium from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. is a community outreach event in the San Antonio metropolitan area to educate employers on changing recruitment and accommodation responsibilities.  OFCCP will present on findings in recent investigations and case studies.  Partnering agencies TWC and DARS will brief employers on the local labor market, available assistive technology for employees/jobseekers with disabilities, and efforts made by local employers to recruit and hire people with disabilities.  Employers will also have the opportunity to hear client/employer success stories.

The Job Fair from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. is open to registered employers seeking to meet or hire jobseekers including people with disabilities and veterans.  There is no cost to participate in this event!!!  Space is limited so we encourage you to register soon.
