StartSMARTTM Workshop Series

for Entrepreneurs & Small Business Owners

by Princeton SCORE

Whether you are just beginning to develop a business start-up idea, are an established business looking to add new products or markets, or are facing unresolved issues, the StartSMART Workshop Series from Princeton SCORE provides guidance and support to ensure your success.

Program Features:

StartSMART is a powerful blend of intensive classroom training, personalized mentoring, financial guidance, and professional networking — all dedicated to helping you develop a detailed strategic plan and hone your business management skills as an entrepreneur or small business owner.

I. Training

Over the course of 2 months, you’ll meet for five 3-hour evening sessions of instruction and interaction at a convenient location in Nassau Park Pavilion in Princeton, NJ.  Experienced business professionals who are experts in their fields, will share key concepts and hands-on strategies you can begin applying immediately to your business:

  1. Small Business/Startup Basics: 5/25/16
  2. Business Concept & Market Research: 6/8/16
  3. Small Business Marketing: 6/22/16
  4. Financial Management of Your Business: 7/6/16
  5. Funding Sources & Next Steps: 7/20/16

II. Individual Business Mentoring & Financial Counseling

As a StartSMART participant, you’ll have a personally assigned SCORE business mentor throughout the series and beyond, to provide one-on-one guidance and support that is tailored to your business. Your mentor will help you navigate the business planning process to ultimately make an informed “go/no-go” business decision.

III. Peer Networking

Learn and grow from the advice and experience of your fellow StartSMART participants, many of whom are successful entrepreneurs.  Sharing ideas, business challenges and industry contacts will provide added support throughout the program and enhance your professional network.

IV. A Business Start-up or Growth Plan

Upon completion of the StartSMART program, you’ll have a strategic plan of action to start, grow or improve your business that you can implement immediately. The training and counseling sessions will guide you in creating a powerful business plan containing all the critical elements and financials to be funding-ready and provide you with a detailed roadmap to success.

Registration & Pricing

Space is limited so pre-registration is required. The entire series is a great value at $135 and includes all 5 workshops plus one-on-one business mentoring. If, after the first session, you decide that StartSMART™ is not right for you, we will gladly provide you with a full refund.
