Trenton Planting - Glenn Miller Road & 401

Join us and plant "Hero Trees" at a significant site - near the start of the Highway of Heroes. The site is adjacent to the 401 and space for volunteers is limited. Access is on the northwest corner of the cloverleaf, 20 metres north of the lights at the westbound off-ramp of the 401 and Glenn Miller Road. Numbers of Volunteers may be limited by the MTO - please express your interest and we'll be in contact with you.

About Highway of Heroes Tribute

Ontario’s 401 Highway is the main transportation corridor linking Windsor with Quebec City, and crosses through some of the most densely populated areas in Canada. In 2007, a 170 kilometre portion of the highway stretching from CFB Trenton to Toronto was designated the Highway of Heroes, reflecting its use as the route for funeral convoys carrying fallen Canadian Forces service men and women from CFB Trenton to the coroner’s office in Toronto.
