Literacy strategies are integrated throughout lessons to support the development of reading, writing, and speaking skills. Core second grade science and mathematics concepts include pollution, matter, fossil fuels, natural resources, place value, length, recording data, and graphing data are reinforced through opportunities for application within meaningful STEM contexts.
