Target Audience
This course is designed for the TB professional who is responsible for training staff and other health care workers on the proper placement and reading of the tuberculin skin test (TST).
Conference Goal
The goal of this training is to enhance the expertise ofthe local TB health care trainer so they can effectively teach other health care professionals when to use a TB skin test and how to place and accurately read a TB skin test result.
Conference Objectives
Using highly interactive lectures, case studies, and other hands on TST skill building exercises participants will learn when and how to correctly place a TB skin test, gain knowledge of adult learning principles in order to train others, and gain skills in the planning and execution of a TST workshop for their own staff.
Format
The format for this course will be lecturestyle presentations, with individual skill building practicum. There will be ample time for questions and answers.
