The Diocese of Winona announces its 3rd Annual Married Couples Retreat

The Office of Life, Marriage & Family is hosting its third annual married couples retreat.  Please join us for a wonderful opportunity to grow closer to your spouse while you both grow closer to Christ!

What is it?

The retreat is a chance for you and your spouse to get away from the everyday busyness of life and to focus on the two great loves in your life: Jesus Christ and your spouse.

How much is it?

This year we are offering the retreat for free!  The only expectation is that you arrange your own lodging and that you attend all of the retreat.  Lunch is provided on Saturday.

Who will lead the retreat?

Peter & Theresa Martin, proud parents of six little boys, will direct the retreat.  Drawing from their many studies in Theology and their many years in marriage ministry, Peter and Theresa are excited to lead this retreat as they assist you and your spouse in deepening the love you have for Christ and for one another.  Time will be set aside for prayer, Reconciliation, the Celebration of the Eucharist (Saturday evening), and, of course, time with your spouse.

Peter Martin is the Director of the Office of Life, Marriage & Family for the Diocese of Winona.  Peter received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN,  his Baccalaureate in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas in Rome, Italy and his Licentiate in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family in Washington, DC.

Theresa Martin is a published author, (Woman, How Great Thou Art), national speaker and blogger, (New Feminism Rising), and assists her husband Peter in ministering to engaged and married couples in the Diocese of Winona. Theresa had four years of graduate studies in philosophy and theology in Rome, Italy at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas & is currently completing her Masters in Applied Theology of Marriage and Family through the Maryvale Institute in England. She received her bachelor degree from the University of St Thomas, St. Paul. She spends most of her time pouring her love out for her six sons, the greatest blessings of her life.
