What does life look like when viewed thru the lens of the erotic? How does that lens affect how we see our work & how we see ourselves in the work?

When we are in connection with The Erotic in ourselves, we are connected to a neverending source of Joy & Passion. How do we view our work when we infuse it with joy? What becomes possible in our visioning? How do our organizing relationships change when we treat each other with the gentleness & care we have for those we are in love with? How do we hold ourselves & our comrades accountable when we treat them the way we treat our partners?

If these are questions you ever ask yourself, this workshop is for you.

When we are in connection with the Erotic, we have a place to lay down our rage, our grief, our frustation. A place to go to for replenishment when we are drained.

Please wear loose comfortable clothing that allows you to move. You may find it useful to bring a notebook or journal. I also strongly recommend that you read Audre Lorde's "The Uses Of The Erotic: The Erotic As Power" if you haven't already. While we will be accessing the erotic, this is not a sex workshop & no sexual activities will occur, nor will there be any nudity.

Who Is This Workshop For?

This workshop is open to all Activists, Organizers, & Cultural Workers involved in the struggles for social, economic, or environmental justice.

You will learn techniques for using your breath to slow down & listen to your body's wisdom. To rejuvenate yourself by re/accessing your inner joy & passion. Learning & practicing self-care is the greatest gift we can give ourselves & the revolution.

Payment Tiers

Instead of sliding scale, I offer payment tiers, named for the amount of "green" you have access to:

Garden Tier: $50
You are on a stretched or limited budget & need to make very careful choices about how you spend your money.

Meadow Tier: $70
This is my "market rate". You can afford to invest in your personal growth without negative financial repercussions.

Savanna Tier: $90
You have inherited wealth, or a discretionary budget. I ask you to consider paying at this rate to support this work & the community of folx who desire it. Your payment allows my work to be financially accessible to more people; allows me to offer free or donation-based sessions at healing justice clinics & community clinics; and allows me to offer pro-bono sessions to at least 3 folx a year.

The Workshop Facilitator

M’kali-Hashiki is a Certified Sexological Bodyworker; Certified Sound, Voice, & Music  Healing Practitioner and a Certified Tantric Sacred Intimate. She’s also a Black, polyamourous, polysexual, middle-aged Femme Top. A devotee of the Yoruban spiritual & scientific tradition of Ifa, she believes that the spiritual & the sexual are irrevocably intertwined.

All bodies are welcome at this workshop: fat bodies, cis bodies, thin bodies, old bodies, trans bodies, young bodies, queer bodies, differently abled bodies; bodies of any class, race, ethnicity, religion, spiritual tradition, sexual preference or orientation. While there's no way to guarantee that all bodies are represented that's certainly the intention; so if you have a problem with any of the types of bodies listed, this is not the space for you.
