Easton Wastewater Technology, Education, and Resource Recovery Research Center (EWATER3)
Centrally located within the Delaware River Watershed, the Easton Wastewater Technology, Education, and Resource Recovery Research Center (EWATER3) will serve as a regional center for research, testing, and education about wastewater. The center will serve as an incubator for the testing of water and wastewater treatment innovations for both equipment and methods by providing opportunities to ramp up to operational scale innovations that have been developed at bench scale. EWATER3 will be used as a research laboratory for college and university faculty and for education and research of both undergraduate and graduate students in environmental science and engineering. It will provide K-12 educational outreach opportunities as well as for the general public and internship opportunities for a variety of undergraduate majors. Through coordination with local community colleges and vocational schools, EWATER3 will provide training for current and future water and wastewater treatment plant operators and personnel.
