Janet Whitney, M.A., LMFT

Presenting: "Understanding Eating Disorders"

Eating Disorders have the highest mortality rate of any mental disorder. It is estimated that over 30 million Americans suffer from eating disorders. We have recently opened up our adolescent Eating Disorders Program at our Rancho San Diego location, serving females from the ages of 12-17. These disorders are generally kept secretive, and we want to help these individuals gain access to a full life.

Course Objectives:

  • To educate and inform about eating disorders.
  • To inform about the treatment programs at Sovereign Health.
  • To identify persons suffering from eating disorders and give them a sense of health.
